Liège Center Design - LCD by AUXAU & BIHAIN

The need to develop a simple and straight shaped building imposed itself immediately. It sets a new space where everything becomes possible, free and neutral, easily embraceable. LCS is hovering and frees all the floor space that is covering and protecting. At manÕs height, the space is open and unique and mingles with the public space. Seen from the sky, a square base, straight and green which varies naturally as the seasons go by.
 
Recognizable in a blink of an eye, the square breaks out of its surroundings and imposes itself as a Design landmark for the City of Liege and the Environment. A crucial energy production innovation has been introduced: along with the Eco-screen (double skin faade with high energetic potential), wind vertical turbines are being implanted in LCD outer shell. A first integrated application in Europe!
 
At pedestrian level, a building made for Design, seen from above, a design product which is actually a building. At the city scale, LCD reflects a quite, wise and extemporal audacity.
